Fr. Jesmond Micallef – a New DLMPES’ Master in Ecumenical Studies
The official online master’s defense in the frame of the Distance Learning Master’s Program in Ecumenical Studies was held on April 6 at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv.
Fr. Micallef, a Capuchin monk, who compels his pastoral ministry in Athens, presented his master’s thesis titled “St. Francis of Assisi and Pope Francis: The Franciscan Revolution and Ecumenical Perspectives”. In his paper, he studied the legacy of both Francis and compared their ecumenical contributions.
Fr. Jesmond’s thesis was highly evaluated by the commission’s members and he was awarded a master’s degree in ecumenical studies.
